“We need someone who can take the information from architects and engineers and weave that into a story that our audience can understand,” Director of Project Development Matthew Ferguson said. “Even though they ask us for an engineering solution, most of the time half the people on the board reviewing the proposal are not technical people. We’re looking for someone who can help us bridge that gap.”
Background as a project manager, experience dealing with the Department of Defense and/or talent and a passion for writing are ideal characteristics for applicants. The successful candidate will collaborate with pursuit teams of marketing, project directors, estimating, scheduling and design professionals to develop compelling narratives while adhering to strict government guidelines.
Proposals can range from 10 to 40 pages and are created on a production cycle of 30 to 45 days.
“We get high marks on our proposals, but this will up our game even more by introducing a higher level of consistency,” Ferguson said.
